Reflections:

Remembering:
I have done the tasks listed in the above table.

Understanding:
My major activity during the week was reviewing documents and providing feedback.  These documents included treatment description, additional instructional contents, and the first draft of our product.   Seeing the first draft of the instruction we are preparing made me feel happy.  Looking at the whole product taking shape gives some sense of accomplishment.  Of course, the previous phases (analysis and design) of ADDIE model are also important.  However, the result of the third phase (development) gives more satisfaction because you realistically see what you have produced eventually.

Applying:
The task of reviewing an instructional product and providing feedback is a skill that can be transferred to many other areas.  Effectively, such a skill is an evaluation activity that will be relevant to any product development.  Whether it is a project like ours or a single lesson, evaluation plays an important role in improving the product into next level.

Analyzing:
Of course, the review I did this week is a preliminary level of the evaluation process.  I like to call it an internal review.  In the coming weeks, we will start the official external review which will involve SME, and pilot evaluation processes.

Evaluating:
My experience of the week was great.  Our product is becoming better and clearer.  As I stated it before, there is nothing satisfying than seeing the product itself.  Thus, our instructional product is in a good shape that it should be at this level of the production process.

Creating:
The next tasks will be the implementation and evaluation phases of ADDIE model.  We will start collecting data that will help us make further improvements.

Reflections:

Remembering:
I have done the tasks listed in the above table.

Understanding:
As part of my activities this week, I had to prepare drafts of two evaluation checklists that the faculty could use to evaluate their performance. Additionally, I prepared survey in Google Forms.  UofM faculty are expected to use the survey for giving feedback to the client.  Our team added this component so that the client will have data to use in order to improve the Instructional Guide later on.  This shows that instructional product has to be improved continuously so that it can serve its learners better.

Applying:
The task of collecting data from users can be applied in many situations.  Even in teacher-based instruction, collecting data from learners is important for the success of the instruction.  After collecting such data, different improvements can be made accordingly.  The improvements can be done in the delivery method, media usage, testing qualities, and other elements of the instruction.

Analyzing:
While writing the survey, I had to apply analytic skills to identify components or qualities of the instructional resource.  Taking such approach is helpful because the data that will be obtained from the survey will be significant in improving the instruction further.   The analysis will ensure that all major parts of the instruction are evaluated by the users.

Evaluating:
I had successful experience this week.  The activities gave me more opportunities to think in detail how the instructional resource is going to look like.

Creating:
The next task is to prepare final draft of content for the instruction.  Moreover, I will also review the instructional treatment further.

Reflections:

Remembering:
I have done the tasks listed in the above table.

Understanding:
Among the major activities that I did in this week were preparing content map and instructional strategy.  In this blog, I will focus on my experience of preparing the content map.   The purpose of content map is to visually show the organization of the content.  The map starts by putting an instructional goal at the top and specific instructional objectives below it.  Underneath the instructional objectives, prerequisite knowledge and skills are listed as needed.

Applying:
The skill of preparing content map can be applied in different contexts.  It helps to guide thinking in order to understand relationships among components of a bigger entity.  The bigger entity in this case is an instructional goal and its components are the objectives under it.  Any system of information can be analyzed in such a manner.  In fact, in the process, I happened to realize that such content maps can also be used to help students to visualize the structure of the whole content that they learnt in an instruction.

Analyzing:
To put content map into the pattern or context of instructional design process, it comes after identification of instructional objectives.  In that sense, it synthesizes the already identified goals with their respective instructional objectives.  Collectively, they serve as input to the next phase, which is a selection of an instructional model or strategy.

Evaluating:
My experience in this week was rich.  I further refined my skill of writing objectives.  To do the content map, I used Lucidchart.  My experience with it was also successful.  It is one of the online tools helpful for preparing different kinds of charts such as concept maps.

Creating:
The next task is to prepare two presentations -- content analysis and instructional strategy.
